Travel by car to Saarbrücken Computer Science
By car from Mannheim or Paris (A6):
Leave the highway at the junction labelled "St.Ingbert-West": turn right and follow the white sign pointing towards the university (Universität) - after 3 km turn to the left and keep going straight on. Turn right at the next junction to "Scheidt". Turn twice right and follow the sign to the Entrance East of Saarland University (Universität-Ost). Then you arrive at "Stuhlsatzenhausweg". After 100 meters turn left to the new parking garage. There are only a few steps to walk to the computer science buildings (E 1.1. and E 1.3.).
By car from the north (Koblenz/Trier):
Follow the A1 as far as the junction "Autobahnkreuz Saarbrücken", then take the A8 as far as the junction "Autobahnkreuz Neunkirchen". From there proceed towards Saarbrücken and follow the highway until the junction labelled "St.Ingbert-West" (see above). This is a detour, but it will save you a lot of searching and slow-moving traffic in the centre of Saarbrücken.
By car from Luxembourg: Follow the A620 towards Saarbrücken, as far as the exit "Ausfahrt Bismarckbrücke". Follow road signs to University ("Universität"). Don't enter the main entrance but follow the sign to Dudweiler. Turn twice right to the Entrance East of Saarland University (Universität-Ost). Then you arrive at "Stuhlsatzenhausweg". After 100 meters turn left to the new parking garage. There are only a few steps to walk to the computer science buildings.

Travel by train and bus to Saarland University
By train to Saarbrücken Central Station: From the north via Koblenz/Trier. From the east via Mannheim or via Karlsruhe. From the west via Metz and from the south via Strasbourg. For more information, contact Deutsche Bahn AG (German Railways). At the Central Station you can take a taxi (about 10 minutes) or a bus.
The bus routes 102, 111 or 124 run by the Saartal Bus Company (to "Dudweiler-Dudoplatz" or "Uni-Campus") will take you from Saarbrücken Central Station to the University, as well a number of other bus services run by companies within the Saarland Public Transport Association (VGS).

By plane via Saarbrücken Airport in Saarbrücken-Ensheim. Take a taxi to Saarland University. The travel time is about 20 minutes. The taxi price is about 20 Euro. You can take as well the bus but it takes about 40 to 60 minutes (VGS Route Planner).
